Cinnamon Danish Rolls

By following this recipe, you can turn any ordinary cinnamon roll dough into delightful Danish rolls that are filled with raspberry filling and served with homemade icing.

 

Tip: You can use any bakeable cream cheese filling or fruit pie filling in pace of raspberry pie filling. 

 
   Ingredients:
Cinnamon Rolls (6 each)
1.5 Cups of Raspberry Filling (or any filling of your choice)
1/4 Cup of Cinnamon Roll Glaze
How to prepare the Danishes: 
  1. Take the Cinnamon Rolls out of the freezer and let them thaw at room temperature for 20 minutes or in the refrigerator overnight, covered.
  2. Place the Cinnamon Rolls upright on a cutting board.
  3. Cut the Cinnamon Roll in half, but leave it attached at one end by making the cut 3/4 of the way through.
  4. Take the Cinnamon Roll slices apart and put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press your thumb gently into the center of each cinnamon roll slice and add around 1 tablespoon of raspberry pie filling into each thumbprint.
  5. If you're using a convection oven, bake the rolls for 20-26 minutes at 300°F. If you're using a standard oven, bake them for 28-32 minutes at 350°F.

  7. Pour warm icing over the rolls and serve them while they're still warm.
